THURSDAY JULY 22ND THE BIG DOG BAND 7P-11P  HTTP://WWW.MYSPACE.COM/BIGDOGBAND MIKE HUNDLEY – guitar, vocals, sound and special effects ROB ELLIS – drums and vocals PAUL LEE - bass and back up vocals All the players have performed in Palm Beach County and Florida over many years. Paul and Rob form a tight rhythm unit that has garnered them many fans and Mike has a “special effects” style of playing. A large variety of musical influences give the band something for everyone. Originally from Chicago Heights, Rob Ellis performed in many of the clubs in the Chicago and Detroit area. He moved to South Florida in 1984 and joined up with the areas top bands including ”Fool Proof”, “Serious Jones”, and “Conspiracy”. Paul Lee is a proven bassist with many years experience. Performing in premier nightclubs, concert halls and benefits throughout Florida, Paul is best known for his funky style. He, too, was a member of “Serious Jones” and “Conspiracy” during the same years as Rob. Mike has played large venues such as “Sun Fest”, in its’ early roots with “Gate 8” and “Sweet Mercy”. He is known for his adept style of playing and his addition of humor and playfulness with some arrangements. Bottom line, this is a great band to come out and party with! THURSDAY JULY 29TH THE FUNKY BLU ROOTS 7p-11p  http://www.myspace.com/thefunkybluroots Mike Serafim sees the group as infusing the blues with fresh energy. “The music has a boogie vibe,” he said. “It’s hard to classify. It’s music to move, groove and party to.  ” The band plays originals, as well as putting its own bluesy spin on songs by a wide range of artists, from Buddy Guy to ZZ Top. The group’s sound has a touch of jazz and other genres, too. “South Florida’s very diverse,” Serafim said. “There’s reggae and Latin.
